DISCLAIMER: The issuance of this permit shall not be construed to allow construction in violation of any ordinance or order of the City, of any state or federal law, or of any order, proclamation, guidance advice or decision issued by the Governor of this State. The issuance of this permit shall also not guarantee that the City will perform inspections during any period of time when such construction is prohibited or restricted by any state or federal law, or order, proclamation, guidance advice or decision issued by the Governor of this State, or if an inspection cannot be performed without undue risk of transmitting COVID-19.

The City will not determine if permits issued after March 23, 2020 are considered “in existence” under the Governor’s Phase 1 Restart Addendum issued on April 29, 2020. Prior to any inspection being performed by the City for permits issued after March 23, 2020, documentation must be provided to the City confirming that the construction activity meets the definition of “in existence” prior to March 23, 2020. All work shall be at the contractor’s and/or owner’s risk.

The City shall not be at fault for its decisions and actions related to whether the project constitutes an authorized project under the Governor’s orders. Acceptance of this permit and commencement of work constitutes a waiver of any and all claims against the City related to any COVID-19 shut down orders issued by the state or federal government or local health authorities.
